Exploring KL

48 hours to get a feel for the city. There is so much to do and see. How does one choose?

The iconic Petronas Towers were on top of our list. When they opened in 1998, they were the tallest structure in the world at 452m but this lasted only for 6 years.

Following Diana’s advice, we booked tickets in advance. Just as well as tickets were sold out on the day. Our timing to watch a marvelous sunset didn’t quite work out … but the view is still wonderful

Arrived s&s in KL

Taking it easy on the first day in 34 degrees (afternoon). Went out for a stroll to ‘Little India’ and for a bite to eat.

I am always fascinated by the fruit, veg and herbs you can get even in the smallest neighborhood.

Look at these gorgeous banana flowers. Cut in slices, covered in batter and fried they make a tasty side dish … tried and tested in our cooking class in Sri Lanka a couple of years ago.

I might still have Nestle on the brain but it’s basically everywhere
